2021 reflect and immune damage

It is now 2021 yet still POE have 2021 reflect and immune damage.
What a joke.

Random enemy with reflect, with NO visual cues === instant death.

I don't understand the logic for keeping this in the game.
How does this add to the game experience???

Every body reroll reflect in maps.
But even with that random spawn enemy can have reflect dmg.
--------------------------
Immune damage.... REALLY.
This is for what??
So you can avoid???
Why make something player have to avoid?? How is this a game mechanic??

"Oh you better pay attention to all the 10000XXXX line of mods and all the flashy flashy thing on the screen. If you don't .... we will punish you."

WTF WTF.

We already have soo much random "UNKNOWN" deaths in the game, monster that can can one shot you because of a bad RNG roll, there is no need for more HARD gated mechanics that STOP player from playing the game.

Please POE, if you have stats, look at how many player can play with reflect/immune. If no one is playing with these mods why keep them in the game?

there is no source of random reflect in the game...it is entirely avoidable in ALL situations. Very early days of PoE had reflect on rares but that was quickly removed and has never been reintroduced.

Immunities are in yellow, and are incredibly easy to watch out for provided you spend 1 second to review what you are exploding. The harder thing is watching out for stacking block/damage reduction to maximum which is MUCH harder to see.

There are already "avoid" functions in the game: if you can't deal with reflect, you don't run atziri. If you can't do a certain map mod, you reroll it. Literally been a part of the game since the beginning, nothing new. You do the content your build can do.

Reflect immune is something that nearly every player does if they run reflect stuff. Either you use sextants, or you grab a reflect chest, or you grab the ring+yugul combo. People do this ALL THE TIME. They don't sit with that gear on for all content, its something you switch on when you need to deal with reflect. So there are no game stats suggesting that a character is typically specced into full reflect immunity ALL the time.

"there is no source of random reflect in the game.." i thought this as well, until I ran an easy 14 map, clear it, then start blight instance.

White mob spawn and one shot me as I was hitting.
I'm a 6K+ 70%+ block char. yet a white mob can one shot me not once, not twice, but 3 times before I had to give up.

So either there some some insane 1000x crit, or it has to be reflect.

my point is why add a mechanic into the game that make player avoid it??
What is the point of that?
Like does this make the game more fun for you??
avoiding reflect and immunity?

Other mods player can slowly work toward by getting more gear or dmg, but immunity and reflect seem to be NEED to AVOID at all cost.

SO why add it into the game in the first place?
Isn't there lightning thorns and something else i have forgot.
Well the reason to add content like that is to provide the challenge of overcoming that content with creative solutions. I think the immunities were added because GGG is leading the game back towards using multiple elemental damages in PoE 2 and maybe future leagues. This is sort of how the game worked back in 1.0. They even hinted at this when they released the Trinity support. Sure, right now its "avoid at all costs", but its very easily avoided, and gives a little picture of where the game is headed (for better or worse...). If you REALLY wanted to pop an immunity remnant, you could always mess around with your damage conversions and turn it into a 40/50% less damage mod instead of 100% pretty easily.

Regarding your experience with Blight, I'm not sure of the actual mechanic you ran into but blights are very very rippy content because monsters are really strong, generally attack from a distance, and can get many overlapping auras. I am 100% (1000%) sure there is NO REFLECT outside of Atziri and map mods. Lightning thorns is completely negligible if you have maxed lightning resist because its not really based on your damage in the same way reflect is. MAYBE it hurts if you are in a reduced max resist + ele weakness map and you are brought down to 30% resist without realizing it.

As I mentioned, you CAN overcome reflect maps and Atziri with just a few simple gear switches. You CHOOSE to avoid it instead. It's like any difficult content...you CAN run no regen maps by throwing some extra potions on your belt but most choose to reroll/avoid them instead. It's a matter of player choice. But I will give you, the only TRULY "must avoid" content is the new immunities.

It isn't a reflect for 15 leagues already. There is no random reflect on maps if it isn't a map mod.

What map mods were on? was you shocked? hexed?

And yes, reflects and immunities are great because they're forcing people to at least think a lil bit about what they're doing/rolling on maps

I have no idea man.
It was a simple easy 14 map.
Clear it no problem.

Started Blight. First "White monster" BAMMM dead.
ok...
I run back lets try this again.
BAMMM.. dead
Third time. same thing.

I have 6+K life 70+% block.

This doesn't say much. Block attack, block spells? any other defense/dmg mitigations or only life+block? Charges? Regen? LGoH?
t14-16 blights are a pain in the ass as a melee character...even my aura stacker dies in blights because of all the juiced monsters constrained to a single barraging line.
I've had a 9K hp character with 7 end charges die to blight bosses on red maps - you have to be careful, even if you're tanky. Use the slowdown and cold pillars to buy time. The blight boss mobs are dangerous - approach them as such, they can kick out 10k damage pretty easily with very few map mods.

This is a good thing by the way.
