Steam charts right on this?

Was just checking out PoE on steam charts and from July it had over 116k players and now there's just over 15k playing? Is this game dying?

I like that you're comparing a one month peak to a 30 minute peak.

League is dying. Game isn't dying though.
It's just a bad league. Hopefully next one will be fun and more people will play it like before.

Expedition itself isnt even close to being "bad" ( compared to other crap leagues GGG pulled off ). Its more about the nerfs to flasks , skills and gems that people whine around. Its not the league that is bad its the balance that is out of whack

This game has been dying for over ten years now. There's even a thread somewhere about it. Pretty good record for a dead game.

The league mechanic itself is fine. But the league as a whole is performing very poorly. When you say a league is performing good or bad, you usually don't talk about the individual league mechanic, but about the actual league itself.

I would have to agree on this. They have continuously nerfed player power as of late (the past 3 leagues especially), but keep the power of the mobs/rares/bosses intact (if not, they buff them even moreso).

I like this league, but progression is a hell of a lot slower, including getting the drops necessary to make a build more refined to handle the more challenging endgame. Nerfing currency, especially Blessed Orbs from the World drop pool is especially something I've noticed where they took them more or less and put them into Expedition rewards in stacks when dealing with Tujen. They should've just left the drop rates on currency alone in general.
