How do these two mechanics work with traps? Will a trap hitting an enemy trigger my flask enchant "use when you hit a rare or unique enemy"?
I would assume it does as my assassins mark ring says "trigger on hit" as well.

No; creating a trap and it hitting an enemy does not count as you having hit the enemy.

Traps inherit your stats - this is why the ring causes them to curse enemies.
It’s also why trap-focused characters still need good gear more generally. :)

OK so will me flame dashing through an enemy or shield charging into an enemy trigger the flask?
What about when I throw a frost bomb at an enemy? I'm trying to find a way to trigger a flask this way without having to add an additional gem.

Yes, though I probably don't need to tell you that this would be 'interesting' from a survivability perspective. :P

Frost Bomb's explosion at the end of its effect should count. The pulses are a DoT, though.

Obviously it's your decision, but the trigger really doesn't have any synergy with your build at all so I'm not sure why you are sticking with it. I'd probably use it manually if playing that build - if you're sure about having Flame Dash trigger it, then it's probably worth considering the alternative enchantment Used when you Use a Travel Skill for more defensive positioning.
I really don't think either trigger is worth it for that build though, tbh.

Used when you use a Life Flask maybe?
I don't love it, but...

Thank you, I really appreciate your input. :)

No worries!
I double-posted; the second one has another perspective enchantment in case you missed it.

My original flask has Use when an adjacent flask is used so maybe ill just put that one next to my life flask or quartz flask.

That's a good option, too. :)
