Large Cluster Jewel ( Minion damage one) can not Aug critical mod

I have tried use my Large Cluster Jewel (Minion damage one) to use harvest craft Augment Critical(non-Influence). The item has a space for suffix which can get a Vicious Bite mod normally. But currently I have tried 2 different people with right level of the craft both tell me can not to that. And I can not find a Large Cluster Jewel have 2 suffix with Vicious Bite and Call to the Slaughter in trade. Is this a bug?
