Does Map Quality increase the chance of an Orb Of Horizon choosing an Unexplored Map?
things will get really frustrating once you get to yellow and red maps..just buy the ones you need and sell the ones you dont, so you get your money back.

" I understand that, but that sounds like bypassing the problem of the game design rather than attempting to address it. (Assuming you refer to player trade) Last edited by RevPortal_PoE_CH#2442 on Aug 21, 2021, 10:46:38 AM

" I agree. There's something way more fulfilling by progressing yourelf, instead of buying your progress. It doesn't have to be everything or nothing (SSF of trade league), but it's up to each player to fin his/her own fun. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" No... you don't "screw yourself". It's an alternative strategy. It works sometimes. You'll get the map you're looking for by random drop sometimes. The advantage of saving the lower tier maps to vendor up is that you can determine the result of that. In terms of time, both methods are probably close to each other. You can actually mix these strategies by saving up one of the parents of the map you're looking for and running the others. Once you get four or five of the maps that can trade for your target, you don't need any of the others. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Aug 21, 2021, 11:44:53 AM

" So far I haven't been able to target farm an unexplored map Tier through purely drops, only through statistical significance of a large quantity of unexplored maps, or small map pool when first starting the Atlas. Presumably this is only an issue where the number of maps for a given tier is significant such that currently available "re-rolls" is less feasible, mainly for the earlier tiers of maps. (Ironically this means it's harder to get into mapping early-on if you're a completionist by nature) In terms of time, it is dependent on Luck to get a map you're looking for via a drop, so long as it is statistically possible to never drop a given map. Of course you could just buy it, skipping either RNG or a target farming method and overall reducing the amount of time you spend in-game for that particular search. You really should also give up the idea of completing one tier before doing the next. It used to work out fine, but the new atlas just doesn't work that way.

I didn't either... but I got used to it. Not a fan of the progression on the Conquerors either. The gap in difficulty going for your 13th is way too much.

" 13th? I thought there's only 4 of them |

You do them over and over in sets of 4 until you've done 32 total. At 16 you get to (or have to?) fight their boss Sirus. To get them to spawn in an area you need to add watchstones to the tower in a given region. To get the 13th to spawn, you need three stones... which is a huge jump from 2.
