Does Map Quality increase the chance of an Orb Of Horizon choosing an Unexplored Map?

Title, I'm trying to complete the remaining T3/4/5 maps before I move onto things like facing those Atlas bosses, but it's kinda getting annoying to get those maps that I have remaining.

I keep running out of Orbs of Horizon, and I'm wondering if there's a more efficient way to use them.

Remeber, Orb of Horizons can only roll the "natural" tiers.

Right, and I've currently got a 1/28 chance of using an Orb of Horizon on a T3 map to get the remaining Basilica map to complete that set of maps.

I've been using up all the adjacent node maps I've got to see if I can get a Basilica map to drop, no luck so far, and the 20 Orbs I've used so far on T3 Maps did help a bit when I had more unexplored maps in T3, but now it's a bit more of a gamble, and I've run out of Orbs for the most part, want to be able to make the best use of the Orbs as I can for any remaining ones I pick up.
Don't forget about vendoring 3 T2 maps. I actually do not know how that works these days, as 3 of the same T2 map can turn into different T3 maps.

are you in SSF? otherwise its a waste to use those orbs on white maps. i only used them on red maps and even then its a waste most of the time. trading sucks but if you want to complete your atlas you need to trade.

Kinda

While I do buy Uniques because of the over-inflated pool of Uniques tied with their massive RNG and a lack of target farming (and Uniques are not the end-game, crafting is), I'm generally trying to refrain from purchasing non-build related things as otherwise there's not much in terms of horizontal progression to be had.
Run Zana's missions. After each run (even if you fail) you'll get a new set of maps in her vendor list. Buy maps from her.

Trading up sets of three isn't as good as waiting until you get four or five. The map you get is determined by the maps you input and it's not random. It's based on the seeds that each map comes with. So if you have different possible maps, you can cycle through the different combinations of three maps from the four or five you have to trade to get the map you want as a result. Five maps will give you ten different combinations of three, and that should be enough to get every possible choice. So buy maps from Zana even though you don't need them. Trading up is a really useful tool in completing the atlas once you learn this trick.

Harvest is your source of "favors unrevealed maps". You can pretty much get your last ones this way for sure. It's not even all that rare of a plant. Might be that this is the only source of "favors"... but we could really use more of them. Horizon orbs don't favor.

Oh... be sure you're running maps of equal or higher tier that are adjacent to the ones you need as a first priority for running maps. Save the ones that can trade up rather than running them. Trading up is deterministic. Much better than relying on luck.

Oh. Fuck.

Didn't know you could trade-up. Was too focused on Currencies.
So, as a newish player with regards to map traversal, I didn't know the following:

You screw yourself by running maps near unexplored areas because you can't utilize trade-up.

Thanks, I actually didn't know that Zana restocks (or adds maps) to her inventory after running her Atlas mission... Or the daily reset just occurred?
I have no clue....
But she sold the Basilica map!
