Steam Region Block and Epic Game Store

Hi everyone,

I'm a long-time supporter of GGG and have played PoE on and off since 2013.

I have some questions for the community or even GGG if they want to give me an answer tho.

So today I just found out that Epic Game Store (EGS) has PoE and is playable in VN (maybe ID PH too) while Steam still blocking players from these 3 regions to be able to play PoE through Steam.

>I understand that we can use the standalone version which I used over 8 years
>I understand that we can use credit card/karma coin etc to pay for cosmetics which I did (You can check my badges from the right)

But I don't understand why we can play PoE through EGS but not Steam? I tried to give out some reasonable things:

>Contract with Garena? (i think it's dead since the Thai server is merged with Global)

>Maybe we (ID VN PH) are the minorities that GGG doesn't really care about? So they completely forgot about us and tell Steam to remove the Region Block.

>Something about giving EGS an advantage over Steam? since it happened a lot lately (but I doubt it since PoE was released through steam around the Globe way before it was released on EGS)

Any information or thoughtful answer is welcome. I really wanna play PoE through steam because of various reasons tho. PoE is the game I love and wanna have some legacy about it.
