I piled on layers of defense and am still doing decent enough in low reds. You don't need a 6L. Some skills you don't even need a 5L.
I had 13c from expedition content well before act 5, it's not that expensive. |

Game shits out divination cards that people love to parrot are "rare" but they actually arent at all which is why you see floods of specific items that no longer have value like 6Ls.
Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

a 6 link should be the result of an average of 1000 fusing being used on an item.
that a 6 link uncorrupted bow is selling for 13c is absurd and just shows how much div cards have completely fucked up the item situation in this game. a 6 link should be chase, it shouldnt be "i ran 5 maps and where is my 6 link?". i guess with poe2 this sort of gets fixed. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

LOL I had no idea I was starting a firestorm. I am a somewhat new player (I started playing at the beginning of last league) and hadn't had to buy anything besides 6l armor before, so it was surprising to me to see normal quality, low base items selling for a similar price to a 6 body armor with OK mods.
The post was really about the RELATIVE price of a bow VS a body armor, which was my only experience buying 6l items before. It's now been made abundantly clear that my sense of what price levels were was way off. |

I guess he meant 13ex ? if thats the case, yeah they are expensive, good ones start from 10ex and the really good ones from 20ex. in Ultimatum i got a 30ex bow from someone, but it was the final days and he gave it to me for 9ex.
However, last league you could do end-game smoothly with a cheaper bow, but this league since the damage is pathetic and monsters are buffed you have to build towards the expensive ones, thats why most builds this league are so expensive since the mid-tier version of them kinda sucks. |
