WTF? Bows cost how much?!?

I'm trying to challenge myself to only purchase gear for each character when I get to maps, but I've had really bad luck this league in getting decent bow drops so I figured I'd check prices for a low-mid tier 6l bow. Holy crap. A normal quality 6l SHORT bow is STARTING at 13c. Is this normal? Why are bows so expensive?

divine orbs are 12-13c.

ANY 6link can be sold to a vendor for 1 divine orb.

hence, any 6link is worth at least 12-13c



also in what world is 13c expensive. you do NOT need a 6link to start mapping. and as a bow character, you have extra options for 6links. Chest, Bow, Gloves/helm with 'socketed gems are supported by'.

13c is expensive in your mind?

i mean you can farm div cards for 6l bow

but really if 13c is expensive you sir are screwed in end game

is buying gear a challenge now?

Hmmmm. Seems you learn something new every day. I had only ever bought body armor with 6l before, and I didn't know about the vendor recipe.

I don't think that 13c is especially expensive, just expensive when compared to 6l body armor with much better stats.

Question: why are there 6l body armors listed for less than the price of a divine orb? Do people just not want to take the extra step or do they not know about the recipe? Or is it different for body armor vs weapon?

people are dumb, and most of them with a 6link that cheap wont respond.


its also pretty common to find 6link corrupted armor, from one source or another. but even a corrupt 6link can be vendored for a divine orb.


ignoring the crazies listing things for blessed orbs, 6link body armors we have:

1 tabula at 3c - he will never sell it to you, he's trying to price fix.
about 5 chests at 10c, the tabula seller will not respond, the others might.
a pile of armors, including tabulas, at 11c. youll have to whisper a bunch of people to get one, but sure, 2c cheaper i guess.


also remember, if you're looking at a CORRUPT item, you cant change the socket colors (well, you can, but its too expensive to bother). so sellers need to price these at divine orb prices, because there may not be anyone that even wants the colors on the item.

You think 13c is expensive? You do know a 6 link will never be cheaper than a divine orb right? Are you new?

The real question I have is why you're shopping for a 6L that you'll want to replace in a day or two. Just get a decent bow and work up to red maps before buying gear that matters.

13c is literally nothing, if that's a big deal with you you have much bigger problems than a 13c bow
