Doom Gain Tick Rate

In Patch 3.12, the Doom mechanic was introduced for self casted hexes.

"
Hexes apply a curse in an area and, when manually cast, apply an amount of Doom per second to cursed enemies up to a maximum. Doom increases the effect of the afflicted curse and stacks additively with modifiers to increased Curse effect.

Do we know if the "Doom per second" is doom gained after every second or at smaller intervals (eg. per server tick)?

Thanks

@Mark_GGG
How fast is real the Doom Gain Rate?

1 second increments: 1-999ms no doom, 1000ms 10 doom, and so on.
smaller increments (guessing): 1-99ms no doom, 100ms 1 doom , 1000ms 10 doom

People can selfcast curses multiple times per second if curses give doom in smaller increments than one second.

You may ask why? Lets use Hexblast as main skill and delve or juiced maps for example where standing still for too long (1 second is long) is not that good. Blasphemy + Curse does not cut it since it's 0 Doom AOE blast = zdps. People want at least some doom on enemies when they spam curses so AOE damage is not completely zero damage.

So if it really only updates every 1 second (1-999ms no doom, 1000ms 10 doom) then there is not much reason to use doom gain rate and Hex Master notable when Doomsday gets max. doom in one second, which is still slow but at least not zdps.

Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
