My Top 20 QOL Wishlist for POE

After some deliberation this is the list I settled on.

I have removed some items which were already agreed on by Chris during the recent Baeclast episode such as item stacking.

Thanks for taking the time to make these suggestions.
As much as I would like these QoL, judging from the state of poe now, i speculate it is unlikely anything will be done in the near future simply due to GGG's limited resource. New leagues timeline, poe2, basic maintenance ...

"Quality" is a delicate issue in engineering as it means making changes to an existing WORKING system. Although certain features may look simple, it still requires sifting through old codes, careful consideration that other features are not impacted and thorough testing.

i make suggestions now and then myself, but am adopting a "fire and forget" mentality.
If GGG do it, its will really be a bonus.

I posted such lists (around 60 items on it) for years but only an extremely small portion of the requested QoL features was introduced over the years - YEARS. (I had even updated it for a while adding dates to QoL they had finally added).

About your list: it's great. Some thoughts...

#1: sounds risky and might cause abuse, but I feel you.

#10: that goes to far for my taste but I might just be too old to embrace it. Wisdom and portal scrolls need to go, yes, but loot filter should not automatically highlight items with desired stats. you should still be responsible for what you actually loot. The overall amount of dropped items needs to be reduced dramatically.

#18: I think rolling over white sockets is ok.




A few things I can remember from my old list (maybe u mentioned some already):

1. Folder improvement for tabs:

3. Navali Prophecies:
a) Remove the exclamation mark.

b) Remove the purple pop-up-window when you fulfill a prophecy or don't put it in the fucking middle of the screen.

c) When adding prophecies from stash, don't close the stash and show prophecy pop-up-window every time I add one. That sucks when I want to add more than one or two prophecies directly from stash.

4. Minimap inaccurate:
often inaccurate and shows openings where the path is actually blocked. I once posted pictures to prove it but can't be bothered anymore.

5. Heist (bugs):
Fix the Demolition tasks. Vinderi, Huck and Tibbs still struggle blowing up chests in narrow corner spots.

6. Stash Tab:
With your stash open, the "Home" and "End" keys should skip to the first/last stash tab; similarly how the arrow keys now move to the next/previous tab. Pressing a letter or a number key should skip to the next tab with a name starting with that letter/number.

7. Lower skill gem level:
Instead of having to vendor a skill gem with an orb of regret/scouring, allow us to use the orb on a gem directly to lower its level.

8. Spectres:
a) Let me read (or some visualization) which spectres I currently have. I sometimes have different ones or accidentally got one that looks like a slave driver but wasn't (or those similar looking apes). Let us read what kind of spectres we currently have.
b) Let us target delete spectres we don't want. In the current state, if I made a mistake in the order of getting the correct ones I need to redo it completely.

9. Ascendancy Trial (merciless): the portals at end of trial (in maps):
The portals at the end of the Merciless Ascendancy Trials (the trials found in maps) should lead back to the map and not to the beginning of the trial.


10. Item Level:
Make the Item-level of the item visible by default.


11. Notes:
Allow people to add notes to items in stash tab. People would like to remember why they kept some of the items and might not always quickly remember why (for example: it has max stat x,y / it is a legacy item / it is an alternate art item / race reward from race x / Kripparian gave it to me / etc.)


12. Tab search:
Give players a “search all tabs” option that shows only tabs containing matches.


13. Vendor entire tab:
Give players a “vendor entire tab” option (and lock tab option, to prevent this by accident).


14. Portal counter:
Inform players how many portals a map has left. (maybe in the upper right corner together with the zone information)


15. Log-in to HO:
Add the ability to log-in from log-in screen directly into your Hideout if you have one.


16. Character screen features:
a) allow us to filter/sort our characters by level, class, name, etc.
b) when you click on one of your characters in the character selection screen – show a 3D model of the character off to the left with the equipped gear as he/she appears in the game. Players should be able to choose if they want to view the char with or without equipped mtx. And an mtx preview possibility.


17. Divination card helper:
Make a little pop up menu on maps (in the atlas screen) which can show what kind of divination cards can be found in the respective map when you hover over it. This pop up menu should have the option to be switched on/off.


18. Animated Guardian:
Allow players to see what the Animated Guardian is currently wearing.


19. pantheon
Every time I need to go back to the city and click on the black wingend guy to actually get it...why not in my ho?


20. skill gems
Make it so that we can buy skill gems from someone in our ho and not always having to visit town.


21. Loading multiple maps in map device
Allow us to pre-load multiple already prepared (rolled) maps in the map device so that I, once I finish a map, can right away click on the map device and run the next one I have pre-loaded.


22. Items that improve maps --> directly ON map
Allow us to drop scarabs, Atziri fragments and all that stuff that usually needs to be put with the map into the map device directly on a map (the map would then just get another mod line ). Don't make us put and carry all that stuff to the map device every time for each map !


23. Keep Auras active after death
Make it so we do not have to switch on all auras again after we died.


24. Make currency drop in bundles AND no fragments anymore
a) Don't make us collect hundreds of single currency items although they dropped from one source. Let the same ones drop in one bundle.
b) No fragments anymore! Harbingers being the greatest offenders.

Nice list, thanks for sharing. I don't agree with all of them but good suggestions.
