the Truth about ilvl 100 coral ring

imo it's way easier (and cheaper) to just buy the highest ilvl vanilla coral ring available in-game at that moment ...

What ppl sems to keep forgeting is, yes this ring is ilvl100 but...

Let say you roll stats:

weapon ele dmg (medium roll)
light dmg (medium roll)
fire dmg (low roll)
Life (medium roll)
chaos res (medium roll)
Fire res (high roll)

so you are sitting with ilvl100 item that just got right stats but low rolls. What do you do now? You can't divine since dmg stats can't rly change that alot, but you can screw up hp, resistances and chaos res. What do you do, use another 5000 chaos orbs to get similar stats and probably lower rolls? OFC not, and you are stuck with high ilvl item that got stats that could roll on ilvl40 item, so you have a good ring but way below it's true potential.

The thing with this is, only art has a value... There is too many factors in crafting and rolling stats on it, that probability of you getting; 1st all stats that you need and 2nd all those stats high rolls like 1 vs 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 ?

I personaly bought 3 of almost each pice of gear for my ranger, all ilvl77 - 79. Then I used like 200 chaos orbs to get few decent rolls, but then I got bow 3x ele dmg and attack speed. All this ele rolls were a low roll that I could roll on ilvl40 item. What good is ilvl77 to me now?

And same is with this ring. Only art has a value.

I didn't realise the issue highlighted by the OP existed.

I don't see any confusion with how this ring works.

I don't have the link atm but pretty sure Chris, or one of the GGG staff, have already explained the ring and its limitations.
