Storm Rain is fun but feels bad to scale.

The difference between using a level 1 Storm Rain instead of using a level 21 Storm Rain resulting in a damage decrease equivalent of a 22% less modifier, which means that leveling it feels like no change at all.

This is a result of the skill having no added damage or a different stat to increase the damage with levels other then the added damage effectivness, you would think the activation frequency would do that but because of how it interacts with the amount of overlapping Beams a 10% increase in activation frequency (using the quality) only increases the dps of it by about 0.4% and as leveling the gem gives far less activation frequency then the quality means that this will also have near to no impact on your damage from level to level.

Another big thing with Storm Rain is that similar to many other skills like it (Toxic Rain for example) if you actually want to dodge attacks or not be swarmed you wont be able to just stand still to continiously cast and because the beams only happen between arrows this will hit Storm Rain more then other attacks as you need to maintain the Arrows.

You are also kinda forced to sacrifice 1 or 2 links to make Storm Rain even a skill in the first place, what i mean with this is that without additional projectiles Storm Rain kinda falls completly flat on its face as it does not add any aditional Arrows itself making a Greater Multiple Projectile Support and/or a secondary delivery method(for example Mirrage Archer or Mines) mandatory to even have AoE and damage at all limiting the damage scaling (and if you are using mines the Storm Rain aparantly gets focused on the Mine location not on monsters) and leaves you with a very akward 50% phys component that you cant really scale that well as an elemental skill as the opportunity of using a conversion gem is to big which only really leaves taking the cold conversion nodes on the tree but those only give you 40% leaving you with a lost 10% if you have the idea of scaling flat phys.

Additionally the beam width feels pretty small tbh, a lot of times a monster will seemingly stand in the lightning but take no damage at all and it also doesnt seem to get through the ward of the runic monsters a lot of times eventhough it hits them many times (this could be slightly wrong though as i am still very squishy with only 3.8k life and around 55% dodge so i cant really pay attention to just that and stand still and some of the runic monsters can have block chance which can proc on the beams)

On top of that because Storm Rain being a lot of small hits you cannot really do ailment scaling that well.

Preferably we could get some additional damage scaling with level and maybe some QoL changes such as bigger beam radius, additional projectiles on the gem or not having to stop moving to shoot the skill to make it feel better additional conversion would also be nice as it might allow for Phys Bows being better then a Solarine Bow in terms of damage but idk if that would really help because i havent done the math for that yet.
