OK this time I actually tried the game

Up until today I was enjoying forum drama but I've decied to try out the 3.15 changes. Went into standard. Oh boi it's really THAT bad. After having played this game for like 7 years (got multiple accs) I can say - it's ruined. The nerfs are beyoned fixable. If this is what poe 2 should look like, it's already dead. Sure there will be a few hundred players playing it, but man, poe as we know it is dead, move along.

The devs cant see the trees in the forest anymore, this game and its company is going full blizzard soon
I actually don't mind the nerfs per say, but they don't make any sense in the current game. They also failed to buff just about every one of the underwhelming skills to compensate. This only stifle build choices. GGG also wants to reduce players zooming, but haven't changed the content they built that literally encourages (and sometimes requires) players to play really fast zoom builds. Delirium mirrors, legion, alva, even delve to an extent. And not to mention, killing monsters before they get to act. Action economy matters when monsters can 1 shot you.

And during their balance pass, they still failed to even look at Fanaticism. They nerfed the one thing Inquisitor was good for. So sad.

hundred players on poe2? ahahhaha jeez people are delusional

Even if 50% of the playerbase is gone (it won't) that's still half a million players.

Also you log into your old character on standard, don't make any modifications to it and expect it to play the same as before? that's not 'trying' at all

What percentage of that 50% are going to spend money?

Where is your confidence from that you thought playerbase won't lost 50%?

yesterday peak: 45,158 (the 19th day after release day)

The 19th day last league: 92,312

They'd lost more than 50% playerbase this league. If they nerf more, they will lost more undoubtedly.

Maybe it will be a beautiful peak number on PoE2 release day. But they'll lost their playerbase rapidly if they still balance their game on top 1% players.

Just to add some perspective to this, the previous two leagues started with around 155k players on Steam. Expedition started with 116k, around a 25% decrease. From there the league lost 46% of its starting players by the end of the first weekend compared with around 23% for the previous leagues.

PCGames reported that 3.13 recorded a player peak of 265,250 with roughly 60% being through the Steam client, so it's reasonable to conclude that population proportions recorded through Steam are broadly representative of the entire player population.

While plenty of players are adjusting and doing OK with the changes, there's a not insignificant amount that are not enjoying the changes at all. I understand what GGG are trying to achieve here, but the adjustments to the game needed to be far better implemented to ensure a smooth transition. If the next league includes similar problems in player balance I would expect the numbers to decrease further.

One point that seems to be missed by a lot of the players seeking a tougher challenge is that allowing some players to have a more accessible experience, doesn't necessarily mean the game can only cater to one extreme or the other. A good approach to balance would be able to smooth the curve signi

StarCraft/StarCraft II are also the best RTS game ever. But who's still play RTS game currently?

We have a lot of types of games can be played. We don't have to play ARPG.

Diablo 4, elden, last epoch, d2:r will all be competing and seeing as i never even made a character this season and have zero regrets ill probably switch to a game that doesn't punish australian players.
