The Nature of Forum Discussion - A Look Into The Mirror

I have enough self awareness to know that I'm probably one of the "usual suspects" mention by some posters in here. Fair enough, I can own that.

I usually only reply if some information or opinions make me react. If some information, posts or opinions are making me react, I act - by posting a reply. That may be an act of agreement or disagreement. Why? Because I find it worth discussing.

My largest flaw in here, may be believing that people posting in "General Discussion" actually want to discuss things, both with people agreeing and disagreeing, and aren't just posting to vent or to get confirmation on their views.

For what it's worth, I do. +1

Think it's because your other posts were specific issues, and the one you got replies on had more general appeal. General Discussion isn't the place to talk about specific features of the game. Talking about if you like the art direction is "general". Discussing how a particular skill interacts with a particular item is more of a "Game Play Discussion".

It's not an "experiment" in the scientific sense of the term.

That's an awfully long way of saying "hey so generic clickbait gets more attention than highly specific targeted topic titles". Uh...yeah. Not exactly a revelation. A better test would have been you making a more generic PoE-related discussion that isn't the usual clickbait topical business (eg female armour in games being utterly ridic) to which many people might want to contribute but eh I guess that's not really something everyone can consistently pull off.

Also you gave me an excuse to talk up Viva La Dirt League so eh, that's good.
