The standard atlas reset each league is an enormous slap across the face and it's getting worse.

Run a Single Vaal Temple Map and you will gain almost all of your atlas back. Even without doing that all your nodes and Uncharted are still going to be allocated or at least mine have been the past 2 leagues.

The only maps you will have missing will be one to two in each region that will need to be found again with the new shuffle. After doing Vaal Temple those should drop fairly quickly in a days worth of farming if you run maps next to those.

Yes I've been running a t16 to restore most of the atlas for a number of leagues now. The point is there is no reason for standard to be impacted the way it is on league rollover. The impact should be removed as much as possible. Standard is the "forever" league, so why are there these "fuck yo atlas" events being held every few months? Minimize map diversity loss on conversion, retain the current bonus and awakened bonus, and keep maven invite progress for each region and uncharted realms.

I don't care what they do with the 'cost free part' of the game - it's free. But I do care about what I bought and paid for with money. I feel cheated.

The quarterly suffering of standard players is actually a side effect of a totally different problem which goes back almost 6 years.

The reason the Standard atlas has to be reset is because it needs to match the Atlas of Hardcore Challenge Leagues, because Standard is where HC characters end up when they die. So unless that part is changed, there's nothing to be done about the Standard issue.

Now, you could absolutely ask "well why don't HC characters go to SC Challenge League instead of to Standard?" Well, it's always been implemented this way from the beginning because super early on SC challenge leagues were different from HC challenge leagues, and GGG wanted to give players a reason to try both new mechanics out each patch.

Now, you could ask "well why hasn't THAT been changed then, if the sole reason for the original decision was to encourage people to play both simultaneous leagues, which has not been a thing since 2016?" And there isn't a good answer to that one. That change absolutely could and should have been made back in Talisman when they stopped doing different challenge leagues, but it wasn't and now it's just one of those things which keeps being done just because "it's the way things are" instead of anyone actually applying critical thinking to the issue.

Yes i know that.İ mean Standart is standard everything there should stay untouched all the nerfs and so called ballance of skills items skill tree and so forth shouldn't effect standard. I hope I expressed myself correctly.
