I wouldn't dare get that far into mapping being so fragile. :P PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

well Pizza he's hybrid and also has 3k shield. So not too bad. Looks like possible MoM too with 2000+ mana pool.
Checking his tree: no MoM which is odd considering the hybrid gear, but glancing blows and rumi assumes max block. Relatively tanky build. You now fight inside the boss. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. I just found this boss in a level 70 logbook. Blue map without damage mods, I took zero modifiers throughout the map and only added runic monsters. Instant 1-shots from offscreen or some blackness bullshit I can't even see the edge of before it kills me. I feel your pain.

15k armor, max block, 6k hp. This boss swirly swirly 1 shots me all the time from outside of the screen.

ggg is so lazy that WE have to make the game make the mods. a few leagues later and we have to develop the game im sure. i mean were already beta testing every shitty league mechanic.

" This is the point at which this thread should have stopped, lmao... everyone still talking about "OVERTUNED BOSSES OMG" when we have no idea what mods Vorana (this boss) had on at the time of OP's death. It's entirely possible she had 50% attack/cast speed and 100% crit chance, which by itself is more than enough to make this an incredibly dangerous fight at lvl 82. Posting a screenshot which doesn't show your Remnant modifiers is completely meaningless unless OP did the boss first which... they clearly did not, looking at the screenshot. It actually looks like they saved the boss for the very, very end of the logbook. Feel free to weigh in anytime if this is not the case OP, but... I'm pretty sure I'm right, and you did this to yourself. It's also worth pointing out that you can get rid of those floating orbs to prevent them from stacking up and spamming their shards at you (there are multiple challenges related to doing just that), so on top of OP stacking an unknown number of buffs onto Vorana they also clearly do not know the mechanics of this encounter. Arm yourself with some knowledge next time, and maybe don't put like 10 different optional buffs onto the boss, and I'm sure you'll bring her down without any trouble. Vorana is by far the easiest of the four Expedition bosses btw, so if you're already having this kind of trouble you'd better hope you never find Uhtred. |
