Stuck in loading screen when trying to visit peoples hideouts from korea/china

You won't get any help here, as this problem is here for almost 3 months now and there are about 15 different threads already for this topic.
No help as usual from the developer, who is to blame for an endless loading screen, without a timer, so that the game can only be closed via task manager or ALT+F4, which in most cases corrupts my GGPK file, resulting in a 30GB redownload! (so make a copy of that file once you downloaded it, so you can copy it over, it will constantly break). I called Vodafone, which seems to be the problem, because they simply block those servers from Korea and they told me the are on a block list for malicious servers. As a Vodafone customer myself, i have no possibilities to debate with them regarding an unblock. Only GGG can contact Vodafone and tell them they are not evil and unblock the servers. They have done nothing since this bug exists and probably won't do anything... League was done for me after act 4, having the first trade... ...guess whos game got stuck, because i tried trading with an Asian |

" Well this is very good news that you now got 100% confermation that it IS a local ISP issue where your ISP have blocked Asian / Korean IP's. If would be good if you could get that in "writting" including the list of IP's being blocked.... |

I am not willing to collect all of GGGs asian servers and check whether some of it is a problem or not. They know exactly what servers are the problem, they can check that by themselves. Takes some time and work and GGG showed they are unwilling to do that for 3 months now |

You talked to Vodafona and got told that IP's are being blocked --> That statement from Vodafone would be good to have in writting (to prove this) + what block lists Vodofone have seen these IP's on. There are many IP block lists out there so it's crusuel to find out what lists these servers have been placed on. So why is this so big a problem for you to get the "documentation" for this from Vodafone?? You are their customer so it's shouldn't be a problem to e-mail you this. Also it's again something Vodofone have done to YOUR internet trafic. Well, the information i got from their service hotline was, that there is a big list of sites being blocked. Since we in germany live in a crap country, where expressing opinions that are not state-religion is extremely difficult or forbidden and our politics also hate nord-korean, russian, half the world basically, Vodafone uses DNS-Blocking. (article in german regarding the blocking: https://www.sueddeutsche.de/digital/gema-vodafone-filesharing-sperre-telekom-tauschboerse-1.4396610-2) The customer-service told me, that if i cannot ping the server, the GGG-server must be on this list. btw: I know you are defending GGG on every occasion, but i still believe that no game should be stuck in an endless loading screen and having its own game files corrupted, because you weren't able to "officially" end its process Last edited by FrVolke#2780 on Aug 4, 2021, 5:47:51 AM

" But that link is all about DNS blocking and GGG is using direct IP connection. But then again, Vodafone can be doing extra blocking also on the IP that belongs to certain DNS names. However I think the problem is that Vodafone have begun to block whole IP scopes / ranges and in that way, blocking good IP's from GGG's hosting partner..... |

Yep, Vodafone is blocking the IPs. We as lowly customers can't do anything about that.
GGG on the other hand should do something about it and contact Vodafone to ask what the fuck they are doing, because right now over half the players from Germany are unable to trade with anybody from South Korea... That can't be in GGG's interest, because believe me, this shit makes tons of people stop playing. " Technically it's a local ISP issue with the ISP you are using. If the statement from Vodafone is correct and I think it it since I have no problems connecting to these IP's from Denmark, then it would be nice if GGG / GGG's hosting partner contacted all these ISP to find out why the IP are blocked. However since we are talking about IBM and GGG, I don't think this will happend because --> local ISP issue is not "our" problem....... |
