Hello I need help!!! I tried to disable multi threading it made my client go weird (fixed)

I tried to disable multi threading for the cpu as people recommended it for the fix of stuttering and now my game is running very slow even though I have enabled it, reloaded my path of exile now it feels slow. i'm very angry that this got suggested multiple times and tried to take the advice on board and ended up screwing my self.
has this potentially done damage to my cpu if so i'ma be really pissed off!!!!
I've tried literally everything to fix my stutters, even though with vsynch on it's been stuttering at 60 fps which makes no sense.
Does this mean I'll have to reinstall path of exile again? cause of the multi threading thing?
my specs are
WD - SSD sata 2.5 - 1tb
6 core 1600 ryzen CPU
1050 ti gtx
Asus tuf motherboard

over the last few weeks of trying to get my game optimized like it was idk 4 months ago, my performance is now abysmal when it used to run so well with vsynch and 64 bit path of exile.exe. i've tried everything a clean install of windows, reinstalled all my drivers and installed poe onto the ssd.

Any advice I will very much appreciate it , since I have sunk quite abit of money in cosmetics and too many hours to count if I'm honest.

4 months ago my game ran perfect no hiccups or anything.
since getting a virus on my pc 3 weeks ago, got blue screen of death and did a fresh install of windows has it potentially done damage to my hardware?

(problem has been fixed, not the stuttering but multi thread)
