Forbidden Ritual is not damaging Energy Shield
 Forbidden ritual does not appear to do any damage to my energy shields and I don't believe it is adding the ES 5% to the damage. I do have some damage mitigation as it going to my mana, but I can't think of a reason why Forbidden rite isn't doing any damage to my energy shield. Last bumped on Jul 25, 2021, 10:39:45 PM

Forbidden Rite causes you to take Chaos Damage. Chaos Damage inherently bypasses energy shield.

Ah, I was reading it as taking 40% of life and 25% away from your life and ES and then damaging you for that amount. Your way makes much more sense.
