other way to apply wither from the gem

Any plan to give a bit of love for this gem ?
I mean the only way to cast it is by spell totem, and if you are a melee you have to choose wither or protector as active totem.

Can we have it with brand for example ?
Or any other way, I mean using a 4 link for that feel bad compared to other way to reduce elemental/physical resistance
