the fact that u could spam a skill like cyclone endlessly with 0 mana investment is the reason they made the change lol. mana was redundant for ages. God forbid u gotta spend 4 or 5 points on it now

mana is supposed to be part of the caster archetype. making melee builds focus on mana is lame AF.

Every build should have to care about resource management, or invest in a way to ignore it. Life, ES, and (poorly executed at times) rage are ways to spend for skills.

On the prior page we had one person say 'watch some streams everyone hates these changes' and another say that the 1% love these changes'. I haven't watched any streamers, can someone else tell me which one is right?

Im bored, because mostly new skill builds are useless.

Every league i create new, but wasting time.

For exp - MANABOND any builds? Not even 1.

Go toxic rain - traps - necromancy, booooooooooring!!!

GGG didn't playtest some of these new gems at all which is hilarious. Boneshatter's core mechanic didn't work. Reaper had almost zero hp.

You need Indigon and a huge burnt mana pool to play with Manabond. I don't think it's very viable on a league start scenario but it opens a new play style which makes it really cool. It makes you forego a MoM defensive layer to deal maximum damage which is a big oof for most builds so it can't be used by everyone. Somebody will slap it in a Mjolner and do good damage with it.
Well, i never thought this day would come, but i think i will skip this league.

It has been a fun ride and i want to thank GGG for the entertainment the last almost ten years.

I hope for you guys, who enjoy this new way of POE, that you have a fantastic league with lots of good drops!

see you all when 3.16 hits!
Dran, drauf, drüber !
I love POE, I don't do much endgame, but for most leagues, I will get 1-2 characters to mapping, play around with the new league mechanics, and stop.

I haven't got past act 4 and I just can't continue with it. I don't see much being resolved for this league.

See you at 3.16 :(
yea i am done too idk who they even catering this game to any more . They market like crazy to other circles while dont even care to work on qol which burns current and future players. Guess that is the f2p model working.

Marketing to new players and then making act 1 harder then end game ? This new league is ritual with 10 added steps and 100 more clicks !! weight OMEGALUL!! .

I rejoice poe decends into a gacha sim since i will have real excuse to not even bother anymore .
chaotic neutral
You game lovers have fun. I am done for now. I am guessing it is ok for groups that sit up every day or night. For single players not so much. I really enjoyed playing single player up to this point. It is not so much the nerfs but playing single maps is a chore because it is impossible to get above level 91 without doing high level maps. High level maps mean instant 1 shot deaths. Before the nerf it would take too long to kill map bosses, now it is impossible. I had a level 90 juggernaut molten strike get 1 shot in a tier 10 map. 90k tooltip dps and 65000 armour. Does that sound right to you? Not for the casual single player anymore.

Game is still easy, I am playing HC and loving the danger.

Maybe you need to play a different game more suited to your abilities.

This is the wrong answer.

Because it seems to be an argument the lifers vs the no lifers.

The lifers hate the slow pace and is killing it for them. The no-lifers are fine with it because it gives them more time to enjoy the game.

If the game isn't balanced and catered to both audiences, it will eventually die.

The majority hate the direction, what does that tell you?

It's not just a few people here.

Discarding steam charts is discarding the fact that there is a drop.
If there's a drop on steam, there's definitely a drop with the standalone app as well.

Steam charts may not tell the whole story, but it's an indicator of how a good portion feels about the game.
Pretty sure that they don't give a flying fig about the numbers of people playing. They know how much money they're making, and how much it costs to run the place. That's the only thing that matters.

There's a bunch of people who are upset by the nerfs. They get it. They're also betting that you'll forget it in a few months and play the game in the new environment. It hasn't changed that much.
Remember "Player retention is just vanity metrics" despite making a constant statement about it in the interview
