possible solution to RMT and improvement to trading
I think GGG should implement an automated in game trading system that has a demand and supply algorithm to allow automated selling for price range . This cuts off the direct interaction that enables RMT and allows some control of the economy. The other feature that would cut off RMT would be that an item becomes account bound after x hours. Also any boss specific unique or high end game items should either be account bound or have a very limited trade window.

Current trade system is the only thing keeping the RMT in relative check.
It would be great if GGG could spare resources to flag every transaction above certain amount of currency items and then force manual review of trade history and behavior of accounts with multiple flags, then in turn ban the account and all players that traded with it. As for limiting the item trade by time period is rather bad idea. Let every item be traded once - no more price setters. Let people trade for what they need and play the game, not the market. |
