A bunch of "remove only tabs" appeared after the labyrinth/joining a new kind of leauge.
Tried to post in existing threads about this topic but I dont have permission (why?) so posting a new thread here.
Wondering what the purpose of these new tabs are and, if they are the same as the former ones, why at all put them in there forcing us to move our many (in my case throuroughly structured) items manually to new ones?
Sure there are some meaning to it and would love to understand it.

Standard is the PERMANENT version of PoE. So if you play in a League, then when this end ALL tabs from that League (including your chars) is migrated to standard.
The stash tabs from league are "remove only" because else you would get more and more stash tabs in standard for free = less money to GGG. :)
So when you empty a remove-only stash tab, the system should automaticly delete it.
I hope this explains it. :)

Appreciate it ! but must admit I dont see much logic in it neverthless. Why would one get more tabs for free in any scenario? I reason, more tabs seem to cost money at any given moment, no?
Practically IRL the only thing this seems to give me is headache =)) lol
New tabs, identical to the "old" ones, still identical after I have moved all my items over(and the old ones dissapear I guees?).

Once a remove only tab is empty, it will disappear after you esc to "select a new character" and then check back in. If you play Standard, tab management can be a challenge. I always clean up my league tabs and sell stuff before the league ends so I minimize the remove only tabs coming into standard.

Top right stash you can either create a new folder tab and dump those remove only tabs into that folder so u wont have to look at them. Or click the stash options and do Hide remove only tabs.

It's sufficient to change location via way-point, ie from town to hideout or vice-versa, to make an empty RO tab disappear.
relax - it's just ones and zeros!

Lets assume you have bought some additional tabs to a total of 10. This means 10 tabs in Standart and 10 in Season. After season ends, those 10 Season Tabs get shifted to standart.
If they would not be remove-only, this would mean that you have 20 available stash tabs in standart now. 8 Leagues later you would even have 100 in Standart without buying one additional tab.
With remove-only, this is less of a problem, since you don't have to put all the season stuff into your regular 10 stash tabs imidiately, but you can't put anything new into those tabs and therefore need to buy more if you feel like you need more space.
You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.

Keeping tabs for doubling them was not really the question here, but hell thanks anyway, appreciate any help. Still blows my mind why this part is designed in such time consuming way.
