GGG needs to understand that the campaign is unbearable and long.

Hi, this question got me thinking. The acts are boring because:
1) the density is too low and the areas are too large with too many levels to slog through
2) the drops are too shitty and too low
3) new untwinked toons are undergeared and slow - gameplay starts off clunky and slow and gets better with passives and gear
4) Playing twinked is boring - you dominate but there is no rewards to it, you just want to get it over with faster
My suggestion: the league mechanic, the new and only thing we haven't done to death must me good. It must be interesting, it must be difficult but not frustrating, and it must be rewarding. However with trade being there from the start, they have no way to balance both for twinked and untwinked.
My suggestion beside working harder on the league mechanic is having a separate toon only copy of the stash, with the toon gaining access to normal shared stash upon completing campaign and carrying over levelling stash as remove only tabs. As well as being unable to trade or pick up items that have ever been in another player's inventory until the toon has finished act 10.
you shouldn't be able to trade until maps.
i think the chinese client has had that restriction as a compensation for the better trade system.
I'd be fine with this compromise, just give us better trade. :P
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

@jjb, what I'm saying is after very few times most D2 players STOP playing the campaign entirely, they rush through it with a higher player who tps them straight through. This makes it completely contrary to the OP point and PoE in general. PoE this isn't even an option, you HAVE to play the entire campaign and you HAVE to do all the quests again and again and again. This just isn't comparable to D2. You have the complete player option to basically nix the entire grind through the story on every new character in D2, and D3 for that matter. THAT's what PoE needs, a secondary option to skip over the story for the 1000th time.
@sabranic: there are no minimum level requirements for ANY quest in D2 (except ancients), there are only minimum level requirements to gain experience in certain areas. This has nothing to do with the campaign length, bore, or ability to skip it. Grinding levels is an entirely separate thing.
No one is arguing the philosophy of a game with "acts" or a story, OP is arguing that the 100th/1000th time through the story is tedious, boring, and mood killing
Spoiler
Yes I understand. We're both saying the same thing just in different ways.
@Reinhart; This isnt really good reasoning; as its systemic of the other games that PoE copies / emulates. The same question could be asked for all pre-end-game content; irrespective of what it is.

Acts get boring depending of your rng. SOmetime I find like 4 alch from level 1 to level 40 , sometime I am at 3 chaos at level 50. Cannot craft much and cannot trade much.

I don't mind the campaign. It has gotten super long over the years and is only going to get longer in poe2 as from what i understand its more of an expansion and engine update of the base game not a completely separate new game.
I dont really have any issues with playing through it ONCE at the start of a new league. its part of the community race to monopolise your currency generation first before the market gets flooded.
however on additional characters throughout the league it would be nice to not have to go through it again and again once you've already completed it that league.
maybe add in yet another currency (an account bound one) that you can attain after the campaign that allows you to boost a secondary character or get a massive exp bonus for a few hours or something to speed up the process somewhat.
I'm done spending 10 hours each league getting through the story, only to find out that my build isn't going to work and that I need to start it all again. The meat of this game is in mapping, and I spend a majority of my time each league playing through the story. I'm so sick of it. I dont understand why GGG has only ever made the campaign take longer. There was a buff to all bosses, there have been heavy skill nerfs. WHY would you guys spend so much effort on making the single worst part of the POE experience take even longer? Why would you force people to slog through the campaign again when they want to play another character?
No more. I won't start another league knowing the campaign is going to take EVEN LONGER now that they have spent time nerfing all builds accross the board.
The answer is that GGG is trying to improve the acts so that they become a fun experience, instead of letting people skip them. Why do you think the acts are boring? GGG probably wants your answer to improve them even more.
No, no, dear player, GGG is never wrong. I am in favor of GGG making the game even more difficult. Let them do it so that no one goes through the acts, and let the atlas remain undiscovered forever. Make a game so difficult that only one person can play it. Ah, I forgot, the Chinese who bought shares in their company will not let them. What a pity.
