MAKE LEAP SLAM WORK FOR UNARMED PLEASE
Hello,
It's me again. Posted a message a while ago because I created an unencumbered (hollow palm) marauder bezerker using Gruthkul's Pelt and... I COULDN'T USE A SINGLE MOVEMENT SKILL ANYMORE There is no good reason for Leap Slam to not work while unarmed to be honest ESPECIALLY if you are going to make Ground Slam work. So here I am... a massive bezerker marauder, slamming his fists into the ground and making actual SHOCKWAVES that kill enemies... but I can't leap slam to anyone no no. Anyways I uninstalled the game after pouring in hours into a lvl 78 monster that also happens to be one of my slowest characters. Please fix this bug Grinding Gear Games. No good reason Leap Slam can't work with Unarmed? You're mistaken, it's called making new animations for the hugely outdated character rigs. Same reason they won't do Dual Strike for Hollow Palm: Needs new animations and they won't do it because the payoff isn't worth it compared to other things they could do with their time and resources.

And chances are they want to do it too because hell yeah punching things dead while flying through the air! But again, the amount of work needed to make new animations for it is something they've decided isn't worth it on these old characters. Chances are the only time we'll get them is when they update the character models which is likely going to be PoE2 so sometime in 2022 MAYBE. "I dont think the animation would change, it would easily be the exact same as 1h weapon. The 1H animation would work perfectly fine for it, i mean unless people are super picky about wanting to visually punch the ground on landing lol However not even the 1h animation does that if i remember right. But yeah, leapslam should 100% usable with unarmed. Dash and Shield charge are soo poop its not even funny. Dash gets stuck on dumb shit constantly and shield charge cant go over things. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

Whenever "Make leap slam work for Unarmed" is mentioned, I counter-mention: Thane Jorgin the Banished. Who leaps. And I don't remember him using claws.
Of course +1. The animation is here in Consecrated Path. Nothing new to create. Do it. |

" i´m aware of what that item does using that item in addtion to hollow palm is a selfcreated problem though and the op didnt mention this item i dont like the idea of leap slam beeing used unarmed,but that is just a personal preference. there wouldnt be any harm in changing that imo dash is the skill that should work with unarmed,it reallyy should lose the spell tag that tag doesnt make much sense and doesn't serve any purpose |

Being weirdos at work, we actually tried to move in the leap slamming manner.
Thing's I've learned: REALLY bad for your back if you give it all while unarmed. The reason is the lack of weight. You need to wield something fairly heavy. The jump brings your weight and the item's weight into motion and as you are in the air doing the slam your back corrects a bit - it becomes some sort of a counterweight. If you don't have this, you will use your full back for everything and it will damage. Ideally, the item must first impact before you hit the ground, it helps soften the landing of yourself. If the item is too heavy though, you'll just get injuries. It takes more skill than I thought! So that's why :p Did you try turning it off and on again?
