Mirror of Kalandra trading issues.

Right now, the mirror costs more currency than it is practical to trade, as we can only fit 600 ex in the trade window. Also, some prices are set in 1.5 ex or 1.5 mirrors, etc. Would it be possible to add a vendor formula or method to break these large currencies into shards for trading purposes?

If I could right click on a mirror and break it into 20 shards, it would be much easier to sell a mirror in 2 trades, or pay fractional prices.

Please add a way to break currency into fragments.

you can trade exalts for mirror shards and do it that way.

Most trades for over a mirror are simply priced that way because it's offering mirror service and not an actual buyout.

Also, mirror cost is dependent on things completely outside the control of GGG so they can't adjust the entire game based on the irregular price of over 600 exalts or something. But as I mentioned, you can trade shards for a portion of the total anyway.

Economically, sometimes the shards can be more or less valuable than the total item. Creating a vendor recipe or a way to simply break apart a mirror/exalt into shards kind of ruins this marketability of shards.

also with regard to fractional exalt prices, its a sale strategy. You can just as easily list all items in terms of chaos but people chose fractional exalts to either play the market or ease trades.

It's just QoL. Why can't I trade ex with Scroll of Wisdom?

Defending this is nonsense. GGG should implement a mega amount trade system.

Well, you cannot buy shards (because those would stack automatically), but you can buy divination cards, which you could then exchange for currency.

Good suggestion. This could be done at the vendor instead of right clicking. Mirrors, exalts, ancient orbs, and chaos should vendor for 20 of their shards, IMO.

I meant that if you are trading for 1.5 mirrors, you can have a mirror and then buy 10 shards, rather than use exalts for the .5. Also a mirror shard would take up far less amount of space than the amount of exalts, so you could pay the 600+ex cost with x shards plus y exalts instead.

@adghar: if you want more than 600ex, then you list it at whatever price you want and force the buyer to pay you in mirror shards instead of pure exalts...or div cards.

The problem with a megatrade screen like @smtad suggests is that the limited trade screen acts as a market cap. You rarely ever see mirrors go above 600 ex precisely because only 600ex fit into the screen at a time. People price and cater to the value, but also the size of the trade screen. If that screen were bigger or unlimited, inflation would happen larger and faster.

It's not uncommon to trade for 1-4 mirrors, esp on standard, where mirrors are far above 800 ex.

To buy a mirror is difficulty as well. I don't care about trading ex, but you can't fit enough in the trade window.

Another solution would be make ex stack to 20.

I like the notion of making the higher value currencies stack to 20. It would make moving currency around your tabs easier too. Big pain if I need to make a stack of 5k. Uncomfortable amounts of clicking involved. Particularly chaos orbs, as I max a stack about once a week.
