Is there any counterplay to Shock and Horror's lightning degen in arenas with no LOS blocking?

(Minor spoilers) Just died in a Maven fight where she decided to spawn Shock and Horror. As far as I can tell, I couldn't just run a long distance away from the beam like with the labyrinth goddess map bosses, and naturally in Maven's arena there's no LOS blocking.
Is the only counter-play to have enough regen/DPS to facetank/instagib Shock and Horror? Naturally, Soul of Arakaali would help with that strategy, but 5% isn't exactly going to turn the tides of DOT by itself, and I don't think I have a mechanism to reliably stop taking DOTs for the 50% increased recovery rate bonus to help. It might be possible to stun it to interrupt the cast. Someone was using Vaal Ground Slam to stun Atziri in the gauntlet for a similar strategy. I do not know if it can be frozen completely.
Getting enough mitigation and recovery is probably more easily accessible to most builds. Agnostic / Indigon or RF builds probably have the most, but you can get some recovery on other builds as well. |

I'm not exactly going to bring a Topaz Flask in to every Maven fight just in case she picks Shock and Horror again :P EDIT: So I searched craftofexile.com and I did find up to 10% reduced damage taken from DOTs, but unfortunately it's on Shields only and I'm currently using Maybe this will be motivation for me to try finally crafting a good replacement! My CA trickster was extremely good for dots.
3 Ghost shouds; 9% reduced damage Prolonged pain; 10% reduced damage for DOTS Wind dancer: 20 less damage taken not been hit recently You can additionally add here Kintsugi (20 less damage taken not been hit recently). You don't need regen at all in these defense. |

" Pretty cool stuff, and one of the reasons I'm thinking of running a Trickster next league as well; I remember having a really tanky Attack Block + Spell Dodge Trickster back when Scorching Ray had stacking debuffs. However, I can already facetank Shock and Horror's lightning degen on my Agnostic character, so swapping to a different build isn't what I'm looking for here. I want to see if I can reliably run Maven on my Crit Impale Gladiator (I know, I know, terrible build idea - spreads itself way too thin on 3 different things that want heavy investment in each thing) as well. " Oh, ok. I kinda jump in "yea yea I know the answer" without reading all :). Anyway, It is clearly overleech mechanic for the glad. You either get from belt or timelesss jewel(The Agnostic Key stone good for it). In ritual, I played glad. Most scariest things were one shots and DOTs. I got killed by green harvest boss. It was getting invisible(I couldn't leech) and hitting me big hits with bleed. I didn't block, It hit like +6k, I got bleed and I didn't have overleech pool... You gotta leech if you are gonna use overleech. |
