Anyone have a lot more fun when not dealing with map mods?

running shaper or uber elder feels so clean and enjoyable even if you're underpowered cuz they aren't plagued by map mods.

I'm running a build where I can't handle hexproof / no regen / ele immunity maps - hitting those mods is constant and its ANNOYING.

I waste so much time rolling over them then getting low quant then roll and roll and roll. or I try to corrupt some juicy maps and hit those shit mods over and over.

I just want to kill monsters and get loot not micromanage stupid map based bullshit lol. If we could pick 3-5 map mods that NEVER roll it would make rolling maps so much smoother and more enjoyable.

Roll all your maps at the same time. Don't roll a new map after every map you've done. This is a huge waste of time.

Instead, gather 100+ maps that you plan to run.
Place them all in a stash tab. Chisel them all to 20% and then Alch them all.
After Alching, search for Regen and move those maps aside.
Then search for Hexproof and move them aside. Then search for ele immunity and move them aside.
Scoure all maps you moved aside and alch them again.
Keep doing this until you've got 100+ maps with no annoying mods.

This will literally save you hours.

Awakened PoE Trade has a function that reads your map and makes it easy to read the mods.

Furthermore you can mark certain mods in colors - Red, Yellow and Green.

So I usually mark the onces that I can't run in red, damage mods in yellow/less resistance etc.

And "free mods" that don't have any impact on you in green.

Makes it easy/fast to roll maps and read them.

That does sound like a sweet feature. I just can’t bring myself to try it because I’ve read posts of people being banned for using it. Not worth the risk.

You've read posts from people who claimed they were banned for using it but instead were banned for RMT/exploiting/botting etc.

Meanwhile everyone else uses it just fine.

This needs to be baseline in the game ffs. It's unbelievably stupid how much paranoia seeps in when you play hc and you double check every single map for reflect.

On second thought, removing reflect mod would be fine too.
Lately my build (Toxic Rain) is chaos damage so no reflect. I chose Raider so no ailments on me. I build in life and mana steal so I don't have to worry about that no regen mods, and I put in significant mana and life regen for QOL.

So, yes I never even look at map mods since I can run anything. Which makes me very happy and relaxed.
i prefer juicy af maps

sextants, deli orbs, scarabs infused zana, master mission and prophecies

i want loot and lots of things to kill

so boring and unrewarding otherwise

Map mods should be like gear. Some are useless stats but no stats that instantly kill you (ok some very rare/weird exceptions).

Map mods should at the worst be useless (and not provide quant), while good map mods should increase your speed or regen, etc.

People would still reroll for the best mods, but you would not have to waste currency constantly rerolling lame mods.

It doesnt seem like a fun part of the game.

That’s true. I don’t actually know what they banned for. Neither do the people that get banned for third party applications from what I can tell. They don’t tell you the specific application that caused the ban.

I still think it’s not worth the risk. Game is playable without them so I’ll just stick with that.
Thanks for all the fish!
Make 2 characters 1 that can run those mods to save your currency and then the other silly build that cannot handle them :) Fixed
