Tempered by War and negative resistance

Greetings. Why tempered by war increased resistance instead decreasing it while I have negative res? So actually it's "50% more resistance" if ur res <0. It's bug or it should work like this? Looks like u forgot about negative resistance and just multiply res by 0,5

yeah, thats how math works

-0.6 * 1.5 (aka 50% more) = -0.9
-0.6 * 0.5 (aka 50% less) = -0.3

this is working as intended. some builds can gain huge benefits from this "phenomenon" ;)

-0.9 less then -0,3 so

In case of negative res it should be x*1,5 instead x*0,5, to be accurate with "50% less". Or we should get tooltip like "If you have positive resistance you have 50% less resistence, if negative - 50% more resistance

I told you how it works. You can go to feedback section and complain there. I bet Eye of Malice users will be really happy about your suggestions :P

less/more are multipliers
reduced/increased are additive

so if something is negative and you get a less multiplier it is intended for you to actually gain on that number. if you get something that gives you more/double(such as double chaos res) and its negative, it goes further into the negative as that is how math works.
more (or less) is a multiplier. More is >1 and less is usually 0-0.999999999

In math and programming it is simple, however to describe it, especially the flat res penalty from Kitava is calculated first, make it hard to describe in plain word . (Divergent from zero? Convergent to zero?)

Also, i don't think GGG will rework the res calculation in the near future, or the whole flat increase /decrease, % increase/decrease mod which is additive together as a first layer of multiplier and then % more/less multipliers as second (and third and fourth and so one) layer of multiplier system

Reduced / increased are additive with another, but the sum of the values is still a multiplier.

Just because you dont understand simple math, doesn't mean that the math isn't working correctly.
