Dying a lot Instant Death

Hi, I had few build (my own and from Path of Exile Builds on YouTube), doing exacly the same as shown and still dying a lot. I dont know why. What chaos res I should have with life character? 0%? I read that many high lvl characters have -60%.
Ele rests capped
life 4-6 k depending on character
I have tectonic slam marouder warchief lvl 90 with 31% Physical Dmg reduction go for much more armour to die less?
Raider 88 lvl Ele Hit with Evade 44%, dodge 55% and spells dodge 60%
go for more evasion from tree passive points?
Totem char, Mines char - all character the same problem dying a lot and cant lvl above 85-90
Any solutions?

The two main causes for dying are lacking defences or standing in AoEs, and the third most likely one would probably be not checking map mods. Pay attention to what enemies are killing you. E.g. if they are always Hunter influence enemies, chaos resistance is most likely the culprit.

I am not sufficiently interested to go through all your builds in detail, but if you want help in that regard (not from me, but someone else might help), set your profile to no longer hide your characters so that others can inspect them in detail.
GGG has set all Characters tabs to private by default; you will need to uncheck "Hide Characters Tab" on this page to let us see your characters:

Once your character tabs are unhidden, we would be able to give you much more specific advice (note that though this does open you up to some very harsh-sounding criticism from others, it will be helpful harshness).

The tricky thing about defences in POE is that almost every defence only addresses certain incoming damage types, and is ineffective against other damage types. For example, Armour protects against Physical Hits, but does not protect against Elemental Hits, nor does it protect against Damage over Time. It is also less effective against larger Physical Hits. Similarly, Evasion is great for less average DPS taken from Attack Hits (which may be Elemental, Physical, or even Chaos), but does absolutely nothing for Spell Hits and will not reliably protect you from a hit large enough to exceed your amount of Life before a hit.

EDIT: And this is the reason experts will tell you to "layer your defences." Not necessarily because they scale each other exponentially the way damage scaling does, but because different defences will cover different gaps until you have fewer and fewer defensive gaps.

In my experience, the most common issues other than Life and Resists which you have stated should be fine (4-6k Life depending on char, capped resists) would be:
  • EDIT: Forgot probably the most important bullet point, lol. Fast pool recovery. Life Regeneration is often not enough unless you've stacked it to the ceiling; if you're playing an Attack build, I highly recommend grabbing some Life Leech from the passive tree and/or jewellery and/or Jewels. Life recovery on block is also really great for Block builds:

One of the current widely considered "OP" defence mechanisms is Mind over Matter (aka Mana stacking), which can use The Agnostic keystone to get insane Life recovery per second given enough Mana stacking. However, this is something you'd have to build your entire character around, so probably not viable to slap onto one of your existing characters.
  • Not enough anti-DPS defences. 4-6k Life is fine for absorbing many literal one-shots, but most one-shots players complain about are not true one-shots but instead burst DPS; that is, a giant number of hits in a very short amount of time. Dodge, Block, Blind (such as from a Stibnite Flask) and Evasion are my personal favourites, but lots of people don't like that as they "do nothing against one-shots." Armour is possible, but a little tricky - you definitely want to use Molten Shell if you stack Armour so that you can get some defense against things that aren't just physical hits (see above). Fortify should always be included if you're a melee build. Enfeeble is a popular choice as well.
  • Reflect. Reflect is a Map modifier that nowadays often spells instant death upon hitting an enemy with the given damage type if you don't have a defence against Reflect. Note you often need more than 100% reduced reflected damage taken to reliably take 0 damage from reflect due to things like Vulnerability curse (for Physical builds) and Shock, which counteract your reduced reflected damage taken with "increased damage taken." If you want to run Reflect Maps, it's recommended to get true immunity (such as via certain Ascendancies, or, in high-level endgame, rolling Sextants with "Players and their minions cannot take reflected damage" and stashing the sextanted Watchstones to use whenever you want to run a Reflect Map.)
  • Too low DPS. The more enemies that are alive, the more enemies can damage you. General DPS strategy in POE is to specialise in one or two skills (where both skills have similar or same scaling), and stack on as much applicable scaling as you can to that skill. At least 4-link main skill with "more damage" supports is mandatory, 5-link is still considered mandatory by many, and 6-link is feeling like more and more of a necessity as power creep goes on over time. Example - Tectonic Slam would want to stack any applicable melee, physical, weapon, attack, [weapon of choice such as Maces], [handedness of choice such as Two Handed Weapons], area, hit damage as possible.

Hi and I have one more question. What is the source of generation frenzy chargers nowadays in builds and expecially in raider elemental hit build cos I cant find it on any passive skill or gems. thx
Blood Rage (act2) would do that, but comes at the cost of a life degen.

Another option would be allocating the jewel socket right next to Golem´s Blood, put a medium Thread of Hope jewel in there and allocate Disciple of the Slaughter as well as Disciple of the Unyielding to generate Frenzy and Endurance charges on kill w/o suffering a degen.
ye but no 100 lvl raider elemental hit build on poe.ninja dont get
Disciple of the Slaughter or Disciple of the Unyielding pasive on tree.
maybe frenzy on left mouse button? I have enduring cry with other character and it is activeted or just move
