Gauntlet Earthshatter Build Help

Hello :)

I started playing PoE a few weeks ago with some breaks in between and joined "The Gauntlet Event" which is actually my first time playing HC SSF ever!^^
I got to Act 5 but died during the Kita fight. Twice so far...

After ImExile managed to win the Event I was curious what build etc. he used. I watched his stream and copied his PoB and Skills.

He plays Shattering Steel until Act 4 which is when he switched to Earthshatter.
I myself NEVER had such a smooth experience in Act 1,2 and 3 as I did with his build. Managed to clear every Ultimatum on my way I was very confident and happy with the build. As soon as I switched to Earthshatter though the playstyle felt much more slower and I couldn't really do Ultimatums anymore even after I leveled the Gems to the same level that my previous skill was at. During the boss fights the attack speed is so low that I sometimes had a hard time doding the bosses abilities as my character was stuck in the Earthshatter animation.
I am now curious if this is "normal" for this build or if I am doing something wrong.
I also have mana problems with the Earthshatter build due to what I permanently need to activate my mana flask.

I would appreciate some help!

I am also using Blood Rage and Vitality for Frenzy Charges.

Would love to hear your opinion.

You might need a weapon with better attack speed.

Other than that, a large portion of the damage comes from stacking and lining up the slams and warcries, so if you make mistakes in that regard it will be far more noticable than with other skills.

I think that might be the problem.

The rotation I use is basically Seismic Cry - 2x Earthshatter - Intimidating Cry - 3x Earthshatter - Enduring Cry - repeat.

The rotation sounds correct, assuming you do not have the time to get non-exerted Earth Shatters while Seismic Cry is on cooldown.

Also try to align Fist of War with the 5th attack and ideally the 3rd as well. I have not done the math, but I doubt that it would be possible to get FoW on all three Intimidating Cry attacks.

I have only played slams once and not for very long, so I do not remember the exact timings. Also I think it was in Harvest where gearing was really easy so I was onehitting everything even when I was making mistakes.

If you use Ruthless as well, the rotation shifts slightly and you would need an extra non-exerted attack, but again I have not done the math in a while so I do not remember whether that would even be beneficial over another support gem. The Fist of War procs in that rotation would have to be aligned with ruthless blows rather than limiting it to attacks exerted by Intimidating Cry.

Your current setup does not include Ruthless though, so I do not think that that is relevant to you right now.
