Animate Guardian - Vanished after adding armor
I had my animate guardian geared and working when I believe it died on Sirus although I can't be sure. I know it vanished. Assuming it died, I reacquired all the gear for my AG build, tossed it on the ground, targeted it and clicked my AG skill. All items vanished but no AG was summoned. I had just spent another 3EX on this gear. After reading the forums and posts nothing seemed to work so I figured I'd try and see if I could summon the AG by targeting another set of boots. Boom, the AG summoned. However, it only had the crappy boots not the 3EX worth of gear I'd just targeted. So, seeing that the AG was now working, I again acquired all the same gear (Kingmaker, Mask of the Stitched Demon, Victario's Flight, Blasphemer's Grasp, and another rare chest) and spent another 3EX. I then began targeting each item with the AG skill. Everything went well as I added all the gear, leaving the chest for last. The AG was summoned, I had the icon for the AG as well as the buff icon's for Kingmaker, Victario's when I targeted the body armor. As soon as I added the armor, the AG disappeared and now can't be summoned. That's 6Ex blown for what appears to be nothing, leaving me very disappointed.
I've logged out, unequipped my helmet (housing the AG skill gem), took out the skill gem, logged out without the gem in my helm or my helm on, logged back in and put it all on and nothing works. Last bumped on Jun 10, 2021, 1:39:00 PM

I assume that the rare chest had + chaos resistance on it that raised the AG:s chaos res above 50% at witch point your chest armor cause the AG to converted over 100% of its health to energy shield leaving 0 health and thus killing the AG.
Flesh Crafter on yourself and Mask of the stitched demon on AG is potent combo, but you need to carefully balance the amount of chaos res the AG has. "An it harm none, do what you will"

Wow! That makes sense but that's a pretty steep price to pay. It seems like putting a soft check in place to confirm that the user really want's to kill their guardian would be more appropriate simply letting you kill your guardian when adding a piece of equipment. It sure would go a long way with regards to keeping players happy.
I do enjoy the game and have spent a fair bit of cash on supporter packs since I started playing because put a good amount of hours into it but if this is the best response one can hope for then I won't be able to justify any additional MTXs moving forward. I get it they it's GGGs stance not to replace gear but dang, refunding the currency sure would be nice. Last edited by jonnysevere#0626 on Jun 9, 2021, 11:21:18 PM

" Thats pretty likely something that would take quite a bit of coding work for something that is very niche use and its not like situation would have been much better if the armor only raised the AG:s chaos res to 49 or 48% leaving the AG alive after adding the armor but most likely dead after first boss as 2 or 4% hp isn't exactly a huge amount. And in general people are expected to know what the items they have equipted do, there are quite a few ways to straight up kill your won character with wrong item combination or just make yourseff very vulnerable to dying. Im personally also using Flesh Crafter + Mask of the stitched demon combo to get my AG a crap ton of hp regen, but i also have him equipted with Oskarms to reduce his chaos res so that he only converts about half of his hp to energy shield. That's ridiculous. That's simple validation. "And in general people are expected to know what the items they have equipted do, there are quite a few ways to straight up kill your won character with wrong item combination or just make yourself very vulnerable to dying." Yet GGG can't incorporate simple things like showing your minion's resistances, damage or even the gear you've leveraged, actual sheet damage, combat log, etc. It is laziness and nothing more. To ice the cake, then we get condescending responses rather than useful support. Bush league all around. |
