You might want to check how much DPS magical staves can roll.

lower due to the mega low min dmg
kinda like lightning spells :) |

Axe:
82-137 20% quality = 98-164 169% iPD = 263-441 APS: 1.15 * 1.27 = 1.46 DPS = (263+441)/2*1.46 = 513 Staff: 57-170 20% quality = 68-204 169% iPD = 192-548 APS: 1 * 1.27 = 1.27 DPS = (192+548)/2*1.27 = 469 That is the calculation for those interested - and as clearly visible, you are right. I forgot about the low minimal damage. Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.

" you aren't factoring crit chance and you aren't doing the math correctly. You can't round up anything, you have to use every multipliers in a single equation to see the true dps. The dps of a staff is 465.3 and the dps of an axe is 516.06 Build of the week #9 - Breaking your face with style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_EcQDOUN9Y IGN: Poltun Last edited by faerwin#5850 on Apr 4, 2013, 7:50:52 PM

Considering the highest DPS 2H weapon to be sold on the forums so far is ONLY 490, we should all start rolling magical ilvl 78 karui axes :)
|

" Getting such a blue weapon would likely be around 1/1000000 chance There's a bias towards low level mods when rolling affixes and you are looking for perfect mods. Btw, I'm pretty sure that 20% ias is far from the max on a 2h weapon. Build of the week #9 - Breaking your face with style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_EcQDOUN9Y

its 27
And theres ~ total of 156 different prefix/suffix that spawn on axes ~1/24000 of rolling these 2 mods considering alts are ~300 to an exalt that would take 80 exalts worth of alts to roll XD |

" Crit chance was not factored in on purpose, because the OP did not factor it in either. The math there is done more as a step by step example, and not an actually fully correct approach, and that is why I rounded the numbers in each step. The OP rounded his numbers as well, so obviously he wasn't seeking for the ultimate result either. The end result is only 0.795186% skewed for the staff and 0.592954% skewed for the axe.
