GGG's Hubris is showing with the Ultimatum Statistics also 400 HH for 350,000 players?

[Removed by Support] but FOR FUCKS SAKE 400 HH's generated as rewards for a league that started with something like 350,000 players (steam and stand alone guestimate) is beyond even my rather dim view of GGG's idea of "risk vs reward" (which personally I find to be laughable whenever they spout that line). But with that out of the way lets talk about this line:

"
"As you can see, 64.39% of all generated Trialmaster encounters were never even started. What this means is that players either failed an encounter prior to wave 10, took their rewards prior to wave 10 or didn't start the Ultimatum encounter altogether.

OR RIPPED DUE TO FRAME RATE ISSUES that plagues many players or just due to the incredibly binary "Delete the screen instantly or be deleted instantly" "game balance" that GGG seems to be defaulting to [Removed by Support]

Moving on to this:

"
Our investigation while generating these stats showed that those players are often not playing through to wave 10, failing encounters, or not even starting the encounter to begin with."

How many of these failed encounters were from the game's [Removed by Support] performance for many people? Obviously they've accounted for players simply skipping them , [Removed by Support], but also because it was [Removed by Support] AND RIPPY AF AND CRUSHED PERFORMANCE for a lot of players. How many Ultimatum Trialmaster skips were due to frame rate related rips?

GGG obviously balances their game based on statistics (the need to maintain a certain ratio of player deaths per hour for example [Removed by Support]. and not on what makes a fun compelling gameplay experience for the majority of the audience (which is how most games are balanced). POE FEELS like a game that has been balanced (or completely not balanced as is often the case with many older systems, neglected skills and old "rewards") via simple statistical analysis.

This "use statistics to derive a compelling gameplay experience" approach is a problem in it self, I don't think I have to convince ANY gamer that most of the great games they've ever played were NOT BALANCED THIS WAY; but instead were crafted and tweaked to be great and fun experiences. [Removed by Support]

And it feels exactly like that.

All of this is compounded when [Removed by Support] and are clearly blinkered by confirmation bias and selection bias displayed wonderfully in the Ultimatum statistics thread. The most recent example being the implication that players are to blame for not experiencing the leagues content, its nothing GGG did after all...

Its not a unfun stingy [Removed by Support] league, the players are just being overly expectant of having fun. BTW lets set it so the biggest chase items MIGHT BE ENCOUNTERED BY 400 players out of 350k. Now I honestly don't give a rats ass about HH but its a great example of just how completely ludicrous the slot machine balance has become.

[Removed by Support] No Ultimatum is not a terrible performing league where many "skips" were due to frame rates bottoming out. Nor could it be because GGG KEEPS DESINGING LEAGUE MECHANICS THAT ARE JUST SPAWN A BUNCH OF SHIT ON TOP OF THE PLAYER. Double down on the insta rips and DOUBLE DOWN ON THE THING THEIR ENGINE CAN'T HANDLE.

GGG is living in a bit of a self delusion right now. [Removed by Support] by blaming players for skipping a bad mechanic, or dying to bad performance.

The more reasonable interpretation of Ultimatum stats is: 64% of trialmasters where missed because GGG made a bad league with a VERY skippable mechanic, that was bad from multiple standpoints most importantly performance was trash for many players. They doubled down on an already poorly performing game engine by spawning monsters on top of players AGAIN; only this time it was all in a tighter more visually cluttered space with even more and longer lasting mobs.

You literally designed a league that couldn't have been more efficient at breaking your [Removed by Support] engines performance... If you would have asked "how do we make a league people want to skip" Ultimatum would have been an excellent answer.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.

Lisa_GGG earned her keep on that one. I count 11 RBS's in a single post. Might be a new record!

tbh they made it seem a lot worse than it was, I used the word lazy and bad coding, and literally no personally directed or "name calling" at all.

So we're literally not allowed to characterize POE as a "casino slot machine sim" nor are we allowed to characterize spike damage as "poor game design" as these were "[removed by support]". The word GGG is removed a couple times with nothing else removed, so the name of the company is toxic I guess. And yes to be fair I called the design of something bad and that could be construed by a game designer as a personal remark but ffs how am I supposed to remark about a game design that is IMO poor without hurting the feelings of the person who made that choice?

All that editing makes it seem like I was being a complete asshole instead of just being critical of their game balance and the clearly degrading performance of the engine.

Its an interesting tactic... can GGG just make every critical post seem more toxic and insult filled be replacing "poor game design" with [REMOVED BY SUPPORT]?

Interesting not saying its intentional but it certainly has that effect

isnt it 400hh from the league mechanic alone? thats actually a lot compared to how much loot drops outside of ultimatum

they only include the items in the ultimatum window as far as i know
I expected every trial master will have headhunter from the teasers, 400 for the whole league?
Fuck, that's rare as fuck!

3.13 was the golden age.
basically 200 million ult encounters and 400 HH were in the pipe not even claim. So glad I sat this one out. I wasnt feeling it by act 2. Read the patch notes and knew heavy nerfs were in the pipeline. Then thought of redoing same atlas, 99% of areas useless like delve/temples, Tedious Jun unvieling again plus a low effort league mechanic. Add in my general burnout no thanks. I'm starting to think one league a year is about all I can handle - gives me time to catchup on 3-4 I missed and feels fresh. Like I liked ritual - not because of Ritual which was just another Breach - but 3-4 other leagues I missed and whole new atlas.
Git R Dun!

Can't win them all. They took our money this league. Gotta just pray next league is gonna be much better. I agree with this league just being way too standard feeling. As soon as I got 37 achieves I was done.

I agree with the author of the post in everything
I have to play poe all day for the sake of virtual pixels, when others drop out and go up, and HH, and mirrors, and so on. why is this so? are the gggs afraid that I won't play their game after I kill all the bosses? I bought 4 large tabs and got nothing in return, I just have nothing to fill these tabs with. GGGS simply lure players with beautiful trinkets and trick them into playing for days on end
Mirror? What's that?
