This happens often. The game is nearly unplayable as it crashes so much.

More rarely "Abnormal disconnect: An unexpected disconnection occurred." just happens without the prior rows.

If you are running the normal stand-alone client, then run the file packcheck.exe as "an administrator".

It can also be a problem with "cache files" on your pc.
try to delete ALL content from the following places -->

in addition to ALL of those locations, delete this folder as well (IF it exists)

"%AppData%\Path of Exile" (This folder will be there for players who perform a fresh/new install of the game, regardless of how it's installed (Steam/Epic/Standalone) on Windows.)
