Chaos Innoculation with "when on low life" effect

I was just wondering how Chaos Innoculation works with "when on low life" effect. I know CI works well when used with "when on full life" because you are always either on full health or dead. but does always having 1hp count as being at low health also?

Nope, you are always at full life with CI or dead

Well, to be fair, CI *does* work with "When on Low Life". Any damage you deal while dead gets the perk. Say if you have a Spell Totem left, or something.

maybe they should change the definition of Low Life to be when you cannot see anything surrounding your character. |

" It is really easy to see how the mechanics work once you know the mechanics work. GGG made a choice to have low hp based on your percent life...this is not the only way it could have been done. Perhaps they decided to make "low life" mean you have less than 100 hp. The design is fine, but don't pretend they didn't make a non-obvious choice which needs clarifying for newbies. |
