Complete Encounters VIII (The Primal One in Thicket Map)

Hey Exiles,

i'm having a hard time with this one. Freezing Pulse build. I know that he is alternating his two sunder skills and that it is a bit random.
I've tried it with Southbound + Culling.
Another problem is overdamaging and don't seeing anything on the screen (due to freezing pulse projectiles).

If I damage him very slowly and wait for sunder's at the end, i'm overrun by spawning adds...

Need a clever way to do it :)

Even worse with Cyclone and can't wrap my head about it. Perhaps this is one of the few quests that are easier to do with Minion builds.

I did this with a miner personally. It was pretty easy. Damage him until he has barely any life left, wait for him to do the sunder attack, move out of the way and kill him. You can kill all the adds before you activate the boss, and if he starts shaking the trees to spawn monkeys you can just move far away and kill all the adds until he is done doing that and continue.
