The Queen's Hunger, consistency
Hello,
I believe the item would see a lot more builds being attempted around if the trigger was reworked to be more consistent. I tried to build around it by picking two blight item and annointing all 4 possible "increased skill duration" on the tree, anomalous efficacy & increased duration along with Leash of Oblation and Corpsewalker. This is a lot of sacrifice to often end up getting the same offering 3-4 times in a row. I don't know many successful build that lacks consistency when those skills aren't activated under the player's control. If you build around this item in order to benefit from block or resists you end up being wide open way too often. I suggest that the armor always picks a buff the player doesn't already have if possible and otherwise pick any of (in order of best-to-worst): 1- Least recently acquired offering; 2- A random offering; 3- Most recently acquired offering. Thank you! Last bumped on May 13, 2021, 6:41:58 AM

I had two other ideas regarding this overnight. The first would be to never pick the last offering. This would move the odds to 1/2, 1/2 instead of 2/3, 1/3 in picking the oldest offering applied next and help in having always at least two of the offering when you have sufficient increased skill duration.
The other most powerful approach is having the offering on a full rotation, say spirit->bone->flesh endlessly. |
