Essences and fossil crafting suggestion

I would say that both of them are completly out of high tier crafting and I think is because them dont add anything to the crafting system.
Most of the time them are just another way to do the same, but worse...

Limitations like re-rolling the whole item even with the "affix prefix cant be changed" limit essences to low tier crafting mechanics...

Whats the point in using them to force 1 stat, when u can have instead a double ifluenced item with 2 forced stats and better...
I think the way them are right now, are completly useless even buffed, like them are right now...

My suggestion:

Wouldnt be better to use them as an augmentation/regal?
Forcing the stat them provide only to magic items, without rerolling at all.
This way, them can be aplied in many interesting ways, without making them superstrong.
Actually... Would b a way to make people choose between a double influenced item or a item with 1 influence and a essence mod, wich would be interesting.


About fossils.

Except for the gilded one, wich is used for corruption wich is something I really like... I think them are completly out from crafting system right now.

My suggestion:

What if those fosils could be used only to roll/reroll a single random afix?
Pretty much like if u were using an anulation+Exalted orb that still is not afected by "sufix can not be changed".
U could more or less choose wich kind of mod u wanna get, but u cant control wich mod will be affected and rerolled.
Or u might get lucky and get a completly new mod without taking any from ur item, if u get lucky...
Also u cant control the tier...

However. I think that would b a nicer way to use those, instead of being just another chaos version...

However.... My point is...
Right now a chaos veiled orb does the same than essences or fossils and in my opinion does it better.
But most important... Is the same mecanic 3 times, just slightly diferent.

I think the crafting system should be more flexible like everything already is in this game.

Essences acting as augmentation or regal, so can be used in single influenced items as an alternativo for the double influenced mod.

Fossils used like annulment orb + redirected exalted bypassing mods "cant be modified"
So u get a random mod out and u get a slightly directed mod.
This can be used in double mod items but is risky.

Chaos veiled mod are perfect the way them are.

Harvest only usefull for non influenced mods.

Beastcrafting to do augmentations in influenced itemm and printing.
Including the one adding only prefix or sufix using mods can not b changed.

Normal currency to do standard craft.
Somehow I feel like would b nice something to help us with 4th and 5th stat in any item crafting further than just ex and scouring.
