So Hateforge got nerfed...

Rory from GGG Gave an explanation about change:
"This change was a result of us discovering that Ballista Totems could keep using Vaal Rain of Arrows and Vaal Burning Arrow with Hateforge with no limit at all (as they ignore all costs, which was never tested because it was assumed at the time that they worked slightly differently), but as far as we could tell nobody was doing this build (and it requires no investment other than owning the gloves). We decided to change it quickly before it became known, but by no means should it have been changed without any warning or patch note. I'll have to investigate how this happened.

We weren't aware of the trap use case, and it's definitely not something we'd want to change mid league. We usually only nerf something mid-league if it far outclasses anything that is otherwise possible (like the unlimited Rain of Arrows) or give unlimited damage or damage immunity. I'll look into having this changed temporarily to only apply to totems for now, as soon as we can deploy the restartless change. Though that's not an ideal long term fix because the description would be inaccurate or very lengthy, but this should re-enable the legitimate builds until the next league if the change is possible.

The patch today won't be able to make a change, it will just be properly describing the change in a patch note, but I'll update here as soon as I have an answer about what's going to happen next and when."

I miss the good ol' days of no soul-gain prevention, stacking x3 Vaal Discipline gems, VBA mines 1 shotting anything in the game Uber Atziri included, and Ghudda crashing the servers with Vaal Spark totems. Golden era.

there is a subset of players that go absolutely ape whenever they change something mid league and want it to be a huge drama.

I think its fine I just wish they didn't apply it in an entirely random fashion, I bet vaal rain of arrows totems aren't even close to as busted as some of the shit they left in the game for multiple leagues.

No point. Perhaps it was highlighting the fact that GGG's play testing and QA systems are just as pointless because nothing gets checked. There were soooo many hot fixes and broken items this league. The amount of professional embarrassment one has to live with to put stuff like this out...its actually quite impressive in its shamelessness.

the main build that using hateforge dont' even use totems , hateforge went to 80ex cause of lightning strike build lol people just want to cry about something none of you fools was using totems or vaal rain arrow unlimited use nor has anyone posted a video about it being the most fun build ever.

the build posted as most fun is hateforge with lightning strike which still works fine. so saying no fun ggg is kinda stupid... nobody was posting video's or having the new meta using a balista totem or traps with hateforge.

obviously whatever these guys was doing with totems and traps was absurd. Guy said he threw down vaal traps and oneshot feared that not fun that just broken and should not exist.
