Avoid elemental damage from hits + Physical damage taken as elemental
Curious to understand how the damage is calculated, if the conversion part of the calculation happens first and then the elemental damage avoidance or the other way around. Which one is the correct one?
Example: I have a helmet that gives 10% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as fire damage. I also have 7% chance to Avoid Fire Damage from Hits on my boots. Does the fire damage taken that is converted from physical affect my chance to avoid fire damage? Thanks for the help on beforehand! :) Last bumped on May 6, 2021, 9:30:31 AM

I believe damage avoidance is after conversion. So you should be able to avoid the fire portion of the hit (though not the physical).

I think ignite is based on damage deal by the monster ,not the converted damage on player side
So if it was pure physical damage on monster side, it won't ignite you are all Just Mark_GGG confirm that shock is otherwise.......shock is calculated by damage taken (in the same thread he does not answer does monster's shock chance affect the shock of converted physical damage at all. As by common logic, if monster shock chance is zero, it does not make sense that converted physical damage shock you) This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. "I'll try to clarify it in that thread (since Mark decided not to answer). As for this thread, damage taken as fire and damage taken as lightning work the same, ignite and shock applying doesn't relate to this case. kaijyuu2 is right. |
