Tank templar armor vs energy shield

Hello,

I have a tanky LS templar with good resists and ok dps. Until now I have been going for high armor value gear (plate mail's, etc.) but I am wondering how it compares to mailed armor that offers lower armor and energy shield.

Is there any sort of general consensus as to what is preferable or what mix is good to look for?

Currently my total armor is around 3k and my energy shield is 100 or so.

Here is my build, there are a lot of options open currently for my next 10 levels or so I was thining to go for the lower shield block chance that gives a 20% shield attributes bonus but I could also go for the armor/energy shield if energy shield is better.
