State of Delve in 3.14
im NOT deep delver, never liked the binary experience of zhp gameplay
for a player like me, who goes into the mine after capping sulphite, the 'new' delve feels little better than old one. im talking about pleb depths of 200-300-400, not deeper. the nodes are more varied, there are more cities, i seem to be finding more varied encounter types. for me - it is fun content, comparable with other contents - it gives cheap, safe XP while not requiring mundane/tedious atlas micromanagement rewards.. are mixed. i find it kinda insulting that heist seems to give out more fossils than delve per unit of time (given that you kinda have to account for sulphite collection, you dont get 65000 just like that) there are only two delve-only rewards (excluding uber rare Aul and co): - azurite/resonators - delve-only rare items problem with these is that resonators you can just buy with heist money and delve rares lost 90% of their power with harvest nerfs. it is still THE source of some rolls but i expect you just buy it outright so, i run it for xp and hassle free experience - enjoy it a lot. rewards.. no, not really. solution: replace at least some 'lost loot' with 'fossil stands' in the dark. make spots 'behind the wall' default to one fossil or resonator chest at minimum. and ffs make it so no node below 200 has ONE reward chest. |
