Cruelty-Support and Totems
Hi,
I'm a bit confused on how Cruelty Support works in general and especially with Totems. When i use cruelty support with a Totem, I do not gain the Cruelty Buff. But the Totem seems to gain the Buff (at least the visual effect). So will the DoT from that particular Totem increased by the Buff of the Totem? Also on Reddit there was a post about the scaling of the Buff: " Can you maybe elaborate a bit how it scales? is it linear, so that 1,5%dmg gives roughly 30% more DoT? So from what i can see, Cruelty Support will work with any skill that can hit.
It also does not exclude totems as all skills that do not work with totems explicitly state does not work with totems. So going by that logic it will work and be good as long as the damage over time actually scales from the initial hit. Taking your current character in this example for the sake of argument I am not sure of is if exsanguinate hits, as all i can see is that it does damage and applies a dot effect. So in this case i would say cruelty works with totems, but would not boost the dot damage at all. Since the wiki cannot be kept up to date anymore it would be nice if this could be clarified by a dev. Interesting question. |

"Nah, totems use your skills, your skills use your stats, totems' stats don't apply. "It's not linear, it's like chill/shock magnitude calculates. https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/mr1ijx/ggg_please_explain_cruelty/gujxwbx "It's not confirmed but looks convincing. So it should be like 43% of more DoT for 1.5% hit. |
