If currency flip bot get reported and banned ...
Does GGG track the connected accounts through the transactions?
I have reported one obvious bot through the ingame system for being obvious bot. Standard red flags - Lush hideout - level 2 Witch - delay between clicks on the inventory items is constant - instant kick from party after trade is done - not even "ty" after trade :D When account like this gets banned, does the potential connected account , the benefactor of the profits , do they get banned? And also Is it even good for the game to ban bots that flip currency? Isn't that more like beneficial community work than anything else? I mean currency needs to be flipped, not everything can be exchanged through vendor. Sure, the other botting is worst - chaos recipe farming, saint's tresure bot farms etc. But Flip bots.. isn't that more like a gray zone? I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. " The insta kick can be done using Poe Lurker or similar program. very handy if you do a lot of trading, even highlights the item in your tab for you, auto invites the person. As for the TY, you can have it setup to where it says that after the trade also. But yes, the hideout, clicking pattern and lvl 2 witch is the big tell that it's a bot. |

" I want my "ty", the player engagement otherwise makes no sense. I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.

It has been a week since launch and people complain various bugs and there is no new patch note, no announcement, update or anything. So, no they don't track it, why would they? Those people who you think need to keep track of these things need to be employed by them and obviously cost money ;-) ... which sits better in streamer pockets for advertising lol.

" Yeah, I'm strongly against fixed vendor exchange rates for things like ex to chaos so currency flipping bots are a necessary evil, trading would be more painful without them. |

Another post asking GGG to remove trade altogether. That's the only solution here. They don't have the resources to go after bot after bot. Banning that bot wouldn't accomplish anything. They make another account and bot away again.
The only possible way to combat this is to remove trade from the game or other equally bad solution. If this really bothers you... play SSF. Even if you're not trading with bots, you're trading with people who trade with bots. Begs the question... what about trading with bots bothers you? " Why are you strongly against fixed pricing like we have for some currency, but not for chaos or ex? Certainly that could be done reasonably based on drop rates? " Depends on the activity and the bot respectively. If you are asking if you can shhot yourself in the foot by a report, it's unlikely for obvious reasons. This is a buff © 2016

" Because there are other factors at play than drop rates - how far we are into the league, what Zana mods are available, the productivity of the current farming strategies, league mechanics/rewards, current crafting strategies etc. People tend to think that a fixed ratio would mean they would be able to afford more gear but that item you can't afford that costs 5ex when the ratio is 150:1 would just become that item you can't afford that costs 15ex when the ratio is 50:1 (overly simplistic example but I'm sure you get the drift) Last edited by Randall#0850 on Apr 27, 2021, 12:21:20 PM
