Beast recipe does not unlock

I bought Saqawal, First of the Sky and added it to my bestiary using the orb but the aspect of the avian craft does not unlock and I can not use the beast I added. To verify I repeated this using another orb and ran some Einhar missions but the recipe still does not show up.
