Question: "Increased Maximum Total Recovery from Leech" and "Increased Life Recovery rate"
It's a non issue usually because every node on the tree that increases your maximum total leech also increases your recovery rate so if you push one you automatically push the other.
However, if you don't invest in leech at all this can be a factor why your leech feels lackluster. Also POB aps isn't really relevant here. Even if you can technically hit 5 times per second, on a warcry based build you'll hardly ever do that in practise between using warcries and kiting boss attacks. |

" Since when is APS not relevant? More hits = more leech instances = reach max total faster. The good slam builds i saw hit 8 aps. Mine only had five and i used warcries just for unique or rare mobs. |

I am not saying it's not relevant in general, i am just saying there is a potentially big gap between having 5 aps in POB which inherently assumes you are just standing there constantly attacking and a real ingame situation where you have to cast warcries every 3-5 attacks and kite boss attacks. Having 5 APS in POB might very well end up being 2 APS ingame or less.
