Deleted my first toon. How do I reuse the name?

It's only a new character level 2, I logged off at the beach but I wanted to quickly refresh it and reuse the name by deleting it and recreating my witch. After a few days the name is still locked and it's attached to my account as I log on to this website.

Is there a time I have to wait for a name to be released? Or should I contact support to release it for me/restore my character from a deletion.
