Bug Reports (Path of Exile 1) - Petrified blood doesn't reserve life anymore. - Forum

Hey, I notice your character has Lifetap Support linked to Petrified blood, which will change the costs of skills to life instead of mana. Petrified Blood has a reservation, which needs to be supported by Arrogance Support to reserve life instead of mana. I checked Arrogance with Petrified Blood and it changes the reservation to life instead of mana for me. Yes that works but why doesn't a skill support gem support a spell and instead the one for labelled for aura skills works? Aren't the tags suppose to specify what they can support? The tags shown on a support gem don't limit what it can and can't support, usually they give you a good idea of what they can and can't support however so I can understand the confusion. Generally what a support gem can and can't support is stated in the gem description. In the case of Arrogance it says "Supports any skill with a Reservation." This includes more than just Auras. Other reservation skills such as Petrified Blood or Stormblast Mine also have reservations. Another case of this where tags can confuse what the gem can and can't support is Controlled Destruction Support which has the tags Spell and Support.
